On Uncertainty

I went off track during the hike (not the first time, won’t be the last) and came across these beautiful waterfalls that aren’t even on a map.

If you know me, you know how much I’m obsessed with waterfalls. So to stumble on a couple without planning is truly rewarding.

It reminded me that, time from time again, we may go off track, we might not be where we wanted to be, and that’s okay.

There are many things in life we can’t control. What we can control is our perspective on it and how we can make the most of it.

It’s normal for us to feel the need for certainty. Especially someone like me who likes to plan the day and follow my routine, so I know for sure what I will be doing and where I will be. As a human, we feel safe when we know something for sure.

However, when we embrace the uncertainty, we will come across new things, new discoveries and new opportunities.

Therefore, instead of feeling frustrated when things don’t go according to plan, we should seize the moment and make the most of it because things always work out eventually.

Perhaps we are exactly where we are supposed to be.
